Brazilian Native Paulo Presotto was born and raised in a very artistic town called Piracicaba, in the state of Sao Paulo. Since early age he’s been involved in dancing and singing. As a very versatile performer, Paulo has been part of a Heavy Metal band, a Forró (Rural Folk Brazilian music) project and a more modern mix of Samba and Funk band called TropiCali. He’s been living in the Bay Area for the last 10 years, where he went to school for audio/video and is currently working with Media Production for youth development at a non-profit organization called Youth Uprising www.youthuprising.org
At the Red Poppy, Paulo is going to be presenting some of his original songs, mixing the Brazilian grooves of Samba and Forró with American influences such as Funk and Rock. It will be an interesting and hybrid dance party.
