Bay Area's Women in Jazz brings together some of the best female jazz musicians for another night under one roof. The performance celebrates and recognizes the talents and hard work of these women who are sometimes underrepresented in the male-dominated scene. With music ranging from straight-ahead jazz, blues, swing, bebop, gospel, and soul, the evening comes to a close with some Brazilian tunes featuring a batucada percussion jam.
