Mosh Pit: American Dances for 20 Fingers
Since joining forces as an ensemble in 2009, internationally acclaimed pianists Eva-Maria Zimmermann and Keisuke Nakagoshi – ZOFO – have electrified audiences from Carnegie Hall to Osaka Japan with their dazzling artistry and outside-the-box thematic programming for one-piano-four-hands.
This prize winning duo has blazed a bold new path by focusing on 20th and 21st century repertoire and commissioning new works. ZOFO’s first album MIND MELD, released in 2012 with Sono Luminus Records, was nominated for a Grammy Award for best Performance in Chamber Music.
ZOFO’s new recording – MOSH PIT – features adrenalized dance-themed works by Gershwin, Corigliano, Barber, Shawn, Nancarrow and Schoenfield.
