Villalobos Brothers Special Double Show

$20 – $25The Poppy is especially honored to welcome the Villalobos Brothers, as their hopeful lyrics invite an optimism that seamlessly aligns with the Poppy’s mission as a socially conscious art space in the heart of the Mission. The brothers are known for masterfully blending the indigenous rhythms and melodies of their native Veracruz, Mexico with the intricate harmonies of jazz and classical music. A trio of virtuoso violinists, singers, composers and arrangers, they have performed at the Latin Grammy Awards, Carnegie Hall, and many other prestigious venues. In 2013, after touring Mexico to critical acclaim, they won the coveted title of “Best Band in New York City” in NPR’s Battle of the Boroughs.
