Túlio Araújo: Contemporary Brazilian Pandeiro

The Red Poppy Art House happily presents Túlio Araújo’s “East” Album Release Concert exploring of the contemporary Brazilian pandeiro. Túlio Araújo is a Brazilian percussionist, composer, producer and sound engineer. For over ten years he has developed a special project using the pandeiro in a contemporary jazz fusion, demonstrating the true power of this “pocket-drum.” With 2 albums recorded (Manguêra in 2012 and East in 2014), Túlio participates in several workshops, live gigs and release concerts throughout San Francisco.
