Singer/composer Tito Gonzalez is a master showman with a voice that has been compared to that of classic son singer Daniel Santos. Gonzalez delivers songs that are deceptively simple – between their fluid melodies and retrograde rhythms, they evoke a focus and introspection that Tito attributes, in part, to his life in America. Along with son, his music demonstrates a broad range of Cuban genres such as rumba, guaracha and the most romantic boleros. His latest album, La Vida Te Da Sorpresas, features a contemporary take on classic Cuban son backed by extraordinary talent in his band.
Admission: $15-20. Doors at 7:00pm. Show at 7:30pm. All ages welcome.
