The ReSisters: An Evening of Music, Satire, Hope, and Three-Part Harmony with the Divas of Dissent
June 13, 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
$10 – $20The ReSisters are Pat Wynne, Liliana Herrera, and Hali Hammer, three accomplished performers and songwriters who mix topical commentary with the age-old pleasures of melody, close harmony, and rhythm. While Republicans rant and Wall Street preens, The ReSisters offer tart replies, rhymed mockery, and some positive alternatives, blending their voices in soulful sisterhood.
Featuring:
Pat Wynne – piano, vocals
Liliana Herrera – vocals
Hali Hammer – guitar, vocals
Pat Wynne’s songs draw on the broad, deep currents of North American music, from gospel to George Gershwin, from blues to Broadway, writing elegant melodies and pointed lyrics. Besides her solo work, Pat is the founder and director of the Bay Area Rockin’ Solidarity Chorus.
Liliana Herrera’s performances showcase her pristine vocals and passionate self-expression. She has been a headliner at the Encuentro Del Canto Popular and a featured singer in El Teatro Campesino productions. She is soon to release her debut EP: Late Night Taco Stand Music!
Hali Hammer, a heart-stopping soprano, is active in the Berkeley singer/songwriter scene, with her band and as a soloist. She writes about family, friendship, and holding onto our dreams.
Admission: $10-20. Doors at 7:00pm. Show at 7:30pm. All ages welcome.
