“The Other Barrio” CD Launch Party: Songs From the Motion Picture

The Other Barrio, the sold-out Centerpiece Film of the 2015 San Francisco Independent Film Festival, returns to SF’s Brava Theater on October 16th. In preparation of the opening, Producer Lou Dematteis and Producer/Director Dante Betteo release the new CD, Songs From the Motion Picture The Other Barrio, containing nine songs from the film produced by Barrio Music Supervisor and Composer Greg Landau. Featured on the album are Veronica Valencia, Jerry Gonzalez, Omar Sosa, Dr. Loco, Culture Clash, Enrique Fernandez, and Greg and Camilo Landau.

The Red Poppy Art House is pleased to host the official CD release party on Thursday, October 1st from 7-9pm. Joining Dante, Lou, Greg and Veronica are Barrio Production Designer Rene Yanez and San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia, plus other members of The Other Barrio cast and crew along with guest musicians. The evening will feature songs from the new album, scenes from the film, and poetry recited by Alejandro Murguia. Admission is free, and the cast and crew invite the public to join in on the celebration. In support of the film, CDs will be on sale for $15 as well as tickets to the screenings at the Brava on October 16, 17, 18 and 22.
