His style is reflective of his many interests and influences combined with a sophisticated understanding of the guitar and oud. For the majority of his career\, Dynes has dedicated himself to and is steeped in the language and traditions of jazz. He has also pursued Arabic\, Persian\, and Turkish oud playing. Dynes plays with Sudan Music Ensemble\, Amanda Addleman Band\, and Aswat Ensemble.
