Featuring Brazilian guest guitarist Julio Lemos\, this concert will feature some original compositions by both Falso Baiano and Lemos.\n \nFEATURING:\nBrian Moran – 7-string guitar\, mandolin\nZack Pitt-Smith – reeds\nAmi Molinelli – percussion\nJulio Lemos (special guest) – 7-string guitar\n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS:\nGrupo Falso Baiano is a choro group that offers a window into the history and diverse culture of Brazil. Choro is one of Brazil’s earliest popular music genres\, dating back to the late 1800s\, and\, similar to jazz\, it reflects the melding of African rhythms with a melodic and harmonic structure closely resembling Baroque Classical music. \nJulio Lemos studied with renowned musicians such as Guinga\, Marcos Tardelli\, Marco Pereira\, Alencar Sete Cordas\, Rogério Caetano\, Nelson Faria\, Henrique Pinto\, and Paulo Belinatti.
