$15 – $20French bassist François Moutin and New York vocalist Kavita Shah embrace virtuosity, spontaneity, and lyricism through standards and original music adapted to acoustic bass and voice. Their first album, Interplay, features 11 tracks recorded at Sear Sound Studios in New York and Studio le Meudon in Paris, and is due for release in 2018 on Dot Time Records. Shah and Moutin are joined by their octogenarian mentors, NEA Jazz Master Sheila Jordan on vocals and legendary pianist Martial Solal, on two tracks each.
