SANTOS PERDIDOS QUINTET: Santos Perdidos CD Release

$10 – $15Santos Perdidos is an acoustic Latin band based in the heart of San Francisco, playing an eclectic mix of Son Cubano, Rumba Española, Bolero, and Afro-Peruvian Lando.
The band met in the summer of 2009 and proceeded to bond as friends and musicians in John Calloway’s Afro-Cuban Ensemble of San Francisco State University. Their first gig at the Mission Arts & Performance Project (MAPP) in the Secret Garden set the tone for their involvement in community events. From there, Santos Perdidos has been leaving their mark wherever they play, from Mission locals such as Radio Habana, The Red Poppy, El Rio, Casa Sanchez and Carnaval to venues like Birdland Jazzista Social Club, Yoshi’s and the De Young Museum.
With its strong vocal harmonies and rich sound, the band’s constantly expanding repertoire includes traditional music from Cuba, Peru, Colombia, Mexico & Spain, as well as original compositions
