This performance will include music from Turkey, Syria, Greece and Armenia, as well as original music inspired by those traditions. We are excited to have guest musician, Kaila Flexer join us on violin and tarhui.

Samaria Trio: Traditional and original music in the modal traditions from Turkey, Greece, Syria and the Middle East
The Samaria Trio have been performing in the Bay area for the past 6 years presenting the music from the Middle East and Mediterranean Diaspora. Their original compositions draw on this deep love, beauty and depth of emotion that these sounds and rhythms have inspired. We have played many beautiful shows over the years at the Red Poppy and are very excited to be in this warm and intimate space again.

We have missed our packed events, but due to COVID, and our staff, volunteers & artists safety, we can only accommodate 30 guests per show. Please get your tickets ahead of time.
