With a rich history as a poet, community organizer and university professor, Burns is a rare bird of a songwriter. Teaming up with accomplished San Francisco musician Courtney Browne, the two offer a sonic journey that cracks open the heart and mind with vivid narratives and infectious melodies drawing comparisons to the likes of Iron and Wine, Ben Harper, Mason Jennings and Ani DiFranco.
