Redwood Tango Ensemble: New Tango & Chamber Music

$10 – $20Oakland’s Redwood Tango Ensemble presents a set of brand new compositions as well as arrangements of contemporary tango favorites.

Dedicated to the study and performance of traditional Argentine tango music, Redwood Tango Ensemble has played hundreds of milongas (social dance events) since their inception in 2011. Led by composer/bandoneon player Charles Gorczynski, the ensemble tours regularly as the full sextet, in various trios, or as Maldito Tango Duo, a bandoneon/guitar pair. Redwood Tango Ensemble has also released two albums, including this year’s critically acclaimed Unison.
