Painting Workshop: The Visual Journal

An exploration of how the painting process can become the visual documentation of our lives, this 7-hour workshop employs the techniques of collage, texture, color, and text to transform paintings into 3-dimensional objects reflecting both mundane and discreet aspects of our personal lives.
**Required Materials:
– Three 12×18″ canvases
– Charcoal, rags, and many mundane items for creating texture and collage (colored papers, scraps, photos, phone bills, love notes, ticket stubs, emails, leaves, grasses, sand, etc.)
– All other painting materials provided (brushes, paints, etc.)
