Nicole Stromsoe & Amber Gougis: Vintage Inspirations, Soulful Voices

Songstresses Nicole Stromsoe and Amber Gougis co-headline an evening of original material intermingled with old-school classics. Accompanied only by acoustic guitar and double bass, Stromsoe and Gougis aim to captivate audiences with enchanting vocals inspired by jazz, blues, R&B, and folk.

With a voice that has been described as “nourishing,” “sensual,” and “rich,” Nicole Stromsoe specializes in her own blend of eclectic soul, jazz, and blues. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she has studied voice intensively for over a decade.

Amber Gougis infuses jazz with soul and brings an improvisation-laced sensibility to Chicago blues and mid-century R&B. Through her original compositions and carefully selected repertoire, she seeks to promote soul music and introduce listeners to the great artists that inspire her.
