Mending Workshop

Mending Workshop
Repair, Reuse, Reimagine
For this workshop, bring your clothes that you want mended and/or embellished with embroidery, or come to learn and practice sewing/embroidery with your guide, Verda Bursal’s materials and guidance. You can also bring your own craft and just hang out!
We’ll only be doing smaller mends/embellishments in this event. If you have a bigger project, reach out to Verda at verda.bursal@gmail.com to see about feasibility.
The workshop will be entirely donation-based. No tickets, no need to RSVP, pay what you can for your alteration and/or lesson.
You can pick from the embroidery styles shown here and at the event, or ask for something unique!

She is a multimedia fiber artist who has been making and altering clothes for herself and others for over a decade. When she’s not volunteering/hosting at Red Poppy (and even sometimes when she is), you can find her knitting, crocheting, embroidering, sewing, and more.
