LoCura: From Spain to the Caribbean and Back

$10 – $20With music that’s equal parts flamenco, reggae, cumbia, Cuban son, and ska, LoCura happily crosses borders to bring back the goods for your soul and your dancing feet. Their Red Poppy show will feature a new lineup, new songs, and remixed classics.

Inspired by the Spanish phrase “ida y vuelta (round trip),” which describes flamenco influenced by African and indigenous populations on its way to Latin America and back, LoCura’s mix of driving rumba flamenca and exuberant Caribbean music is the sound of people, ideas, and cultures colliding and recombining.
