Aja Lenae

(they/them) (pronounced like “Asia”) is a multi-devotional bay area black, queer, gender-expansive artist and youth collaborator. they are interested in multi-artform storytelling as an act of bridging, of swinging low and high, liminality. the tributary offering of the pendulum swing, and archival longing. sunning the hard thing softened. then asking their name. getting curious about what the land desires of us. Aja’s creative practice has grown in collaboration with spaces such as Radar Productions, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, and Oakland Futures/the Center for Cultural Power. they are currently a teaching artist in East Bay 3rd and 4th-grade classrooms with the Museum of the African diaspora and are a member of QWOCMAP’s critical juncture program for black qt filmmakers. LadiRevolutionary (LadiRev)

is an educator/spoken word artist from Bayview Hunters Point. Her poetry is a reflection of personal growth along with values learned from family and community. LadiRev is passionate about community, education, and healing. She is the host of Talkn Owt Da Side of Da Necc Podcast, which focuses on individual healing practices. “It only takes one person to make a stand but it takes a community to make a change” LadiRev

Mozell Ward

magically believes that our bodies hold untold stories, stories that deserve reclamation. They’ve been playing with portals and writing spells ever since they could remember as a child. Poetry was medicine when verbally speaking caused Mozell anxiety and physical pain. They now use poetry as pleasure downloads from their Ancestors. Writing guides their dance, mental health practice, and embodiment praxis. Mozell loves open mics and giggles at her obsession with Def Poetry Jam back in the day. May your inner child come to light, may you chuckle or even grin when Mozell shares tiny fragments of her soul with you.
