Leni Stern African Trio: Groove-Filled African Jazz

$10 – $15Ms. Stern studied for several years with Bassekou Kouyate and Ami Sacko in Mali, later performing in the bands of Salif Keita, Baaba Maal and Toumani Diabate. She performed for five years in a row at the Festival in the Desert in Essekane and Timbuktu, and she was recently featured in the full-length documentary about the festival, Last Song Before the War.

Leni Stern ‒ electric guitar, vocals, n’goni, calabash
Alioune Faye ‒ djembe, calabash, backing vocals
Mamadou Ba ‒ electric bass
