Kylland/Cinnamon Lips: Cinematic, Soulful Singer-Songwriters

Kylland and Cinnamon Lips present a night of all-original music that promises to take listeners from the green knolls of Ireland to the golden hills of Laurel Canyon. These two singer-songwriters blend flavors of traditional folk music with harmonically rich songwriting and cinematic storytelling, beautifully buoyed in the velvety sea of their strong vocals.

Kylland is an American-Norwegian-Japanese composer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Oakland. She will be releasing her debut album in late 2017.

Lila Oleszkiewicz is a Polish/Roma singer, songwriter, and composer who has lived in England, Ireland, Australia, Chicago, New York City, and the Bay Area. A recent graduate of Mills College with a BA in composition, she focuses on themes derived from Eastern European folklore, as well as American popular music. Cinnamon Lips is a project created around Lila’s love for American folk traditions.

Admission: $15-20 sliding scale
