Jeff Denson Quartet: Jazz CD Release Celebration

Bay Area-based double bassist/composer/vocalist Jeff Denson performs a CD release show with his quartet at the Red Poppy Art House for his fifth album, Concentric Circles. Steeped in the jazz tradition, Denson’s music features uncommon instrumentation and a highly individual juxtaposition of composed and improvised material.

Jeff Denson has balanced a full career as an acclaimed performing musician, a professor at the California Jazz Conservatory, and the Artistic Director of Ridgeway Arts, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization. Jeff has toured with his own groups throughout the U.S. and Europe and has worked with some of jazz’s finest artists, such as Anthony Davis, Joe Lovano, Jane Ira Bloom, Kenny Werner, Charles McPherson, Dave Douglas, Ralph Alessi, Cuong Vu, and Warren Wolf.
