Rachid Halihal & Faisal Zedan: Arab Music Experience

A collaborative performance between Moroccan musician Rachid Halihal and Syrian musician Faisal Zedan, the evening will include songs and instrumental melodies from different Arab countries, such as Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Iraq, and more.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
An accomplished Moroccan singer, oud, and violinist, Rachid Halihal is a classical and folkloric musician with a wealth of experience in performing different styles of Arab music. He is a long-time resident of New York City and travels throughout the city performing and teaching.

Faisal Zedan is a Syrian/Lebanese percussionist currently residing in Oakland, California. He specializes in Arab drums and performs various genres of Arab, Middle Eastern, Greek, and Balkan music. Zedan plays and teaches derbakki, riqq, and frame drums, and has been performing and collaborating with many musicians in different projects with a focus on Middle Eastern music and drumming.

Admission: $20-25 sliding scale. Ticket availability at the door is limited and contingent on online sales.
