$10 – $15Grupo Borogodo is a Bay Area group celebrating the beautiful, lively song and dance music from the cafes and backyards of Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. The evening features original compositions, as well as those by Brazil’s best-known artists such as Paulinho da Viola, Jorge Aragao, Almir Guineto, Chico Buarque, and Zeca Pagodinho.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Marcelo Negão and Andrew Scott have played in various well-known Brazilian groups in the Bay Area over the last 15 years, and they are joined by Bruno Melo and Eduardo Amado to highlight their own favorite styles of Brazilian music. Scott has played and recorded in the Bay Area since arriving from London in 1980, and has worked with a wide range of artists in his local recording studio, Studio 401. Negão is an accomplished and highly regarded singer, composer, and instrumentalist who brings an infectious swing to his music. Amado, one of the busiest guitarist/bassists in the Bay, continues to play with all the leading artists.
