Fishtank Ensemble

The Red Poppy Art House is humbled by the opportunity to being able to offer two seventy-minute shows from Fishtank Ensemble in one night.  Doors will open for the first show at 6:30pm, the performance will start at 7pm. For the second performance, doors will open at 8:20pm, and the performance will start at approximately 8:40pm. Whether it’s for the early show, or the later one, make sure you don’t miss this spectacular troupe!

Formed in 2005 and playing everywhere from the hippest LA clubs to festivals, cultural centers, museums, parades, and even on the street, Fishtank Ensemble includes two explosive violins, the world’s best slap bass player, musical saw, flamenco and gypsy jazz guitar, opera, jazz and gypsy vocals, and one little banjolele. Tackling everything from French hot jazz to wild Serbian and Transylvanian gypsy anthems, Flamenco, and oddball originals, the band is a not to be missed event for lovers of all music…and everyone will be enchanted by this intoxicating mix of music.

Keep in mind that this will be a night of movement, feverish dance moves, and quick changes. The Ensemble will not have an intermission, but instead segue straight into greeting the second wave of audience members once the first show wraps. Come early to reserve your spot!
