NY-based Argentine Pianist and Composer Emilio Teubal presents music from his recent Piano solo record Seven Etudes. On the second set, Emilio is joined by Argentine singer Tristana Ferreyra-Rantalaiho. Together they will perform their own arrangements of classic songs from Latin America, from Tango to Bossa Novas.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Emilio Teubal is a pianist/ composer/arranger from Argentina based in New York. He has recorded over thirty albums, both as a sideman and as a composer/bandleader, including the 2018 Latin Grammy Winner album “Vigor Tanguero” by the Pedro Giraudo Group. Futuro, his latest release (his sixth album as a bandleader/composer) has been included on the list of 2023 Best Jazz albums in Bandcamp. His new solo piano album “Seven Etudes” is scheduled to be released in February 2025

Tristana Ferreyra-Rantalaiho is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She often premieres vocal works by new composers as a soloist and with choirs. Her repertoire has a wide range, encompassing early and classical music, Argentinian tango, bossa nova, and the music of Kurt Weill. She has worked as a professional singer and choral conductor in Argentina and Finland. In 2016 she relocated to the Bay Area with her family. She sang in the vocal ensemble, Convivium in California and is now in the 21V ensemble. Tristana’s private studio is in the Bay Area and she teaches voice at Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir, Community Music Center of San Francisco, Spindrift School of Music and Arts, and New Mozart School of Music.
