Daniel Riera Presents: A Tribute To Guinga

$15 – $20Multi-instrumentalist Daniel Riera presents the music of Brazilian master guitarist and composer Guinga, known for his elegant melodies and lush harmonies. His repertoire will be interpreted by a chamber ensemble of winds, strings, and percussion. Daniel has studied with Guinga for six years at California Brazil Camp and will bring his arrangements and musical collaborators to the Red Poppy for the first time.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Daniel Riera is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and bandleader from San Francisco. He was educated at SF School of the Arts and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Riera is most well known as the flutist, EWI player, and musical director for Soltron, a Latin-alternative dance band from San Francisco’s Mission District. He also leads his own quintet playing his original jazz-influenced compositions, as well as performing with the Kev Choice Ensemble and rapper Watsky.
