Clattering Loom is a themed reading co-curated by Valerie Chavez and Jonathan Hirsch that asks its participants to explore a word or phrase from another language that doesn’t quite translate into English. The August reading examines the Cherokee phrase “Yutta Hey” which translates as “Its a good day to die.”- the famous battle cry of the Cherokee Indian. Alan Kaufman, Ian Tuttle, Adam Stephens, Stephanie Foo, Juli C. Lasselle, J. Brandon Loberg, Alia Volz & special musical guest.
