Charles Xavier: Jazz Standards and the Music of SATORI

$10 – $20Producer, composer, electronic musician, and percussionist Charles Xavier performs jazz standards, as well as compositions by his former band, ’70s jazz ensemble SATORI. Join Xavier and his quartet, who specialize in “unconventional music for unconventional minds,” as they touch on jazz, new age and ambient music, and holiday classics.

A jazz drummer from the age of 16, Bay Area resident Charles Xavier (aka “The Xman”) was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, where the East Coast jazz scene shaped and defined his musical tastes. The latest release on his Happy Note Records label, Happy Note Records Sampler 2016, compiles highlights of his work as a musician and producer over the past two decades.
