She holds a BA in music from SFSU\, has been performing in the Bay Area for over 20 years\, and regularly spends time in Mexico performing\, studying\, and collaborating. Monica released her debut album “Nuevos Caminos” in 2020 which includes original music and spoken word\, and is currently in the works to record and release more music. Son jarocho\, son cubano\, boleros y rancheras are some of her favorite genres to perform as well as some of the music that has most influenced her compositions. Monica has had the honor to work with musicians such as Laura Rebolloso\, John Calloway\, Jesus Diaz\, Anthony Blea\, Jackeline Rago\, Sinuhe Padilla Isunza\, Arancha\, Helio Martin del Campo and Jeronimo Gonzalez. \nhttp://monicamariamusic.com \nhttps://www.instagram.com/thisismonicamaria/ \nJose Roberto Hernandez Is a multi-instrumentalist\, singer\, composer\, arranger\, producer\, musical educator\, and ethnomusicologist. In the San Francisco Bay Area\, where he resides\, he is one of the most respected exponents of folkloric music. \nBorn in the city of Cardenas\, Tabasco\, Mexico\, his musical career began in Tabasco and continues in the state of Oaxaca\, Mexico City\, and the United States. Surrounded by master folklorists\, he roots his career in traditional music and discovers that this is his greatest passion.
