The music features spontaneous interplay\, Latin rhythms\, original compositions\, and American Songbook standards. This reunion marks Yeager & Pet’s first public performance as a duo in more than a decade\, and builds on over 18 years of playing each other’s music in a variety of settings. \nFeaturing:\nDoug Pet – tenor and soprano saxophones\nJason Yeager – piano \n\n\n\nThursday\, April 11th\, 2024\nTime: 7:00 pm doors\, 7:30 pm show\nAdmission: (Online) $20 – $30/ (Door) $25-$35 \n  \n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE ARTISTS: \nWhat do Kurt Vonnegut\, Thelonious Monk\, and Latin American folk music have in common? All find their way into the music of award-winning New York-based pianist/composer Jason Yeager. Having recorded seven acclaimed albums as a leader\, including Unstuck in Time and Hand in Hand (with Julie Benko)\, Yeager will release Sanctuary (Sunnyside Records) with violinist Jason Anick this October. An Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music\, Yeager has worked with such luminaries as Miguel Zenón\, Sean Jones\, and Luciana Souza. \nAcclaimed SF-based saxophonist/composer Doug Pet has been a vital member of a number of Bay Area bands\, including The Sam Chase and the Untraditional and the Alchemist Quintet. A board-certified neurologist\, Dr. Pet currently serves as Assistant Professor of Neurology at UCSF.
