If tickets sell out online\, tickets will not be available at the door. \n\n\n\n\nLas Almas Tango\nA Journey from the Past to Tango’s Present\nLas Almas’s program is a reflection of the duo’s diverse musical backgrounds. They will be joined by guest artist\, Basma Edrees\, to present a mixture of some classic tangos and contemporary tangos. Las Almas hope to show their audience the diverse richness that tango has to offer. \nFeaturing:\nSumi Lee – piano\nHeyni Solera – bandoneon\nBasma Edrees – violin \n\n\n\nSunday\, April 9th\, 2023\nTime:  6:30 pm doors\, 7:00 pm show\nAdmission: (Online) $20-30 / (Door) $35 general \nMasks are required inside at all time. Proof of vaccination is required.  \n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE ARTIST:  \n\n\nSumi Lee and Heyni Solera both started their musical lives as classical musicians. Sumi Lee has been playing classical piano since the age of four\, and obtained her Masters from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Heyni Solera started out as a classically trained pianist but is now a bandoneonist and ethnomusicologist. What drew this dynamic duo together was their mutual passion for contemporary tango music. \nBoth Sumi and Heyni studied in some of the most prestigious Argentine tango orchestra schools\, such as La Orquesta Escuela de Emilio Balcarce and La Orquesta de Tango de la Una\,” and have studied and performed with leading contemporary tango composers such Ramiro Boero\, Victor LaVallen\, among others. \n  \n\nPREVIEW THE MUSIC: \n\n\n \n\n \n  \n\n\n \nCOVID-19 PRECAUTIONS\n\nMasks are required inside at all time. Proof of vaccination is required. We have missed our packed events\, but due to COVID\, and our staff\, volunteers & artists safety\, we can only accommodate 30 guests per show. Please get your tickets ahead of time. \nPlease read the following information before purchasing your ticket: \nTo make the event a safe and comfortable one for all\, Red Poppy will be strictly enforcing COVID-19 Vaccine and Mask requirements. Please note that we will NOT make any exceptions.
