Up-and-coming traditional group the Bywater Band makes its second-ever appearance on the West Coast on its way to KVMR Celtic Festival. Lead by singer/piper Elias Alexander (Soulsha, MAC, Seven Nations, Fàrsan), the band’s blazing tight virtuosity and intricate arrangements make them an act not to miss for anyone who loves Celtic music.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
The Bywater Band is one of Boston’s fiercest and most innovative Celtic ensembles. The band draws on their roots in the Scottish and Irish traditions to create tight tune sets and emotional song renditions. Their music combines original compositions, improvisation, and tones of American roots music, giving it a fresh feel. Their creativity within the tradition, combined with their passionate performances and instrumental virtuosity, have made their debut album, Bywater, beloved of listeners around the country; it serves as a reminder of why traditional music continues to be relevant across continents and generations.
