Brooklyn Raga Massive: A Night of Terry Riley & Raga-Inspired Music

$20 – $25Brooklyn Raga Massive draws inspiration from Terry Riley, himself a practitioner of Indian classical music for some years, beginning with their performance and recording of Riley’s seminal composition “In C.” For this evening, BRM presents Indian classical music, original works inspired by the master, and a sneak peak at a new work in progress composed by Riley exclusively for BRM.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Brooklyn Raga Massive (BRM) is an artist collective dedicated to creating cross-cultural understanding through the lens of Indian classical and raga-inspired music. They have had a weekly concert and jam session for seven years running and gone on to form a 501(c)(3) non-profit. BRM’s releases include Terry Riley In C on Northern Spy Records, as well as a self-released raga tribute to John and Alice Coltrane.
