The Brian Hingerty Group: Emerging Bay Area Jazz Talent

$10 – $15Under the guidance of guitarist Brian Hingerty, some of the Bay Area’s finest young jazz musicians join forces to perform a contemporary take on jazz standards. The group, comprised mostly of musicians under 17 and augmented by Northern California bass giant Chris Amberger, combines elements of electronica, funk, and blues as they perform both jazz/rock classics and original compositions.

With several jazz festival honors under his belt, 17-year-old guitarist Brian Hingerty is already well established on the Bay Area music scene. Influenced by musicians like Jim Hall, Bill Frisell, John Scofield, and Derek Trucks, Hingerty draws from a wide range of genres in his exploration of American roots music. He performs regularly, both solo and in ensembles.
