La Mandanga & Banda Sin Nombre: Rumba & Folk Music from Around the World

$15 – $20Mission-based street band Banda Sin Nombre and six-piece rumba group La Mandanga come together for an evening of world folk music, combining rumba, flamenco, cumbia, chicha, and americana. This will be a send-off party for Banda Sin Nombre’s upcoming, month-long tour of Spain, so come out and dance for a good cause!

La Mandanga combines upbeat rhythms, the passion of the gypsy, catchy melodies, and haunting lyrics. Their performances are an experience for your senses, bringing to you the joy of life and love for music.
Banda Sin Nombre is dedicated to performing folk music from around the world. Mixing rich vocal harmonies with acoustic instruments–including guitar, fiddle, charango, cajon, and bass– the band’s inspirations range from Peruvian chicha to Catalan rumba and Appalachian old-time to cumbia.
