Ali Dineen is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist based in Brooklyn. She performs original, acoustic folk music, as well as songs from U.S. folk traditions, and she incorporates historical and sociopolitical commentary into her work. Her music, deeply personal and also political, explores the intersections of personal stories with larger histories. In her work, Ali navigates the forces that divide human beings and cause conflict, and she seeks to dismantle them through honest lyricism and intimate acoustic music. She has worked with Bread and Puppet Theater as puppeteer and musician, and performs regularly in NYC.
Hannah Sassoon is a visual artist, multi-instrumentalist, and environmentalist resistor living in Nashville, TN. Ali met Hannah in 2014 and has collaborated with her closely ever since.
