[DOUBLE SHOW] Alex Conde: Descarga for Monk: Latin Jazz Thelonious Monk Tribute

$15 – $20Spanish pianist Alex Conde finds his own path to the music of the great jazz musician, Thelonious Monk. Named in “Best of 2015” by DownBeat Magazine and All About Jazz Magazine, Conde’s album Descarga for Monk incorporates flamenco, swing and Latin rhythms with unmistakable virtuosity and lyricism.
After graduating at the conservatory of music in Valencia, Spain, Alex Conde came to study at Berklee College in Boston with Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, and George Garzone. He has toured around the globe with flamenco companies and has appeared in various jazz festivals. His compositions for flamenco guitar and orchestra have been premiered in Miami with Jose Luis Rodriquez, Federico Britos and Omid Zoufonoun. Additionally, his arrangements on Schubert have been performed at the Symphony Space in NYC.
