If tickets sell out online\, tickets will not be available at the door.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDvorak Birthday Concert \nAntonín Dvořák (1841-1904) \nClassical Revolution presents a concert of chamber music for strings and piano by Czech composer Antonin Dvorak on his 182nd birthday! \nProgram:\nString Quartet No. 12 in F Major ”American” (1893)\nPiano Quintet No. 2 in A Major (1887) \nFeaturing:\nDaniel Dastoor – violin\nAnthony Blea – violin\nCharith Premawardhana – viola\nLewis Patzner – cello\nIan Scarfe – piano \n\n\n\nFriday\, September 8th\, 2023\nTime: 7:00 pm doors\, 7:30 pm show\nAdmission: (Online) $20 – $30/ (Door) $30 \n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE ARTISTS:  \n\nClassical Revolution was founded in the fall of 2006 with the goal of making classical music more relevant in our neighborhoods and communities.\nAfter a successful first year of weekly shows at Revolution Cafe in San Francisco’s Mission District\, the organization began to receive invitations to perform at other local venues including the Red Poppy Art House\, the Legion of Honor\, and Yoshi’s SF.\nIn its 10th anniversary year\, Classical Revolution undertook a cycle of Beethoven’s 9 Symphonies\, performed at venues around San Francisco including the de Young Museum\, Fort Mason’s Cowell Theater\, and a performance of the 9th Symphony at Grace Cathedral in front of a 1000 person audience.\nPress articles from the New York Times\, Strings Magazine\, Wall Street Journal\, and The Economist brought wider attention to Classical Revolution’s efforts.\nAs interest grew outside of San Francisco\, the network of chapters began to develop\, with over 40 cities hosting regular Classical Revolution around the US\, Canada\, Europe\, and Australia\, as well as Indonesia\, Argentina\, South Korea\, and Japan.\nOver 1200 musicians have performed at more than 1\,500 Classical Revolution events in over 150 different venues in the Bay Area alone. Audiences enjoy the accessibility of the venues and the fun laid-back approach\, as well as the diversity and quality in programming.
