DESCRIPTION:High-energy fiddle tunes from Turkey\, Greece and beyond\, Lars Tergis leads the charge on violin with driving\, gritty interpretations of traditional party tunes and his own original compositions. Chris Reid adds a touch of ‘West’ with percussive chordal accompaniment on steel-string guitar. Gopal Slavonic brings his flamenco guitar chops to bear\, while Faisal Zedan keeps the beat popping on derbekki\, riqq\, and davul. Joined on stage by some of the Bay Area’s top dancers\, Lars and in Charge delivers a big sound and an even bigger party.\n \nFEATURING:\nLars Tergis – violin\, vocals\nChris Reid – steel string guitar\, vocals\nGopal Slavonic – flamenco guitar\nFaisal Zedan – percussion\nSean Tergis – percussion\n \nABOUT THE ARTIST:\nLars and in Charge formed in the past year as an acoustic violin-led band playing traditional Turkish Roman\, Balkan\, and Middle Eastern music\, as well as original compositions using regional scales and rhythms.
