DESCRIPTION:The Alex Hand Band is riding the wave of its first full-length album\, 2018’s Traders of the Lost Arts\, with performances featuring songs from this record as well as an upcoming one. The music is a mix of Romanian\, Bulgarian\, and Macedonian traditional folk dance tunes with original compositions inspired by years of playing these styles and studying music in Eastern Europe.\n \nFEATURING:\nAlex Hand – guitar\nGabe Case – bass\nKevin Gerzevitz – accordion\, keys\nIsaac Schwartz – drums\n \nABOUT THE ARTIST:\nAlex Hand has performed at the Red Poppy with Istanbul Connection\, Jessica Fichot\, Mahala\, as well as his own band. The Alex Hand Band started in 2014 as a Django Reinhardt-style\, acoustic jazz/swing quartet and evolved into an electric guitar-led Balkan folk jazz ensemble.
