With the gracious power of belly dance to the colorful dances of the Indian gypsies\, one is transported on a visual and sonic journey.\n \nFEATURING:\nNarayan SIjan – vocals\, electric oud\, electric saz\, programming\nSchirin Chams-Diba – dance\, percussion\n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS:\nKaravan Sarai’s debut album\, Woven Landscapes\, was on the CMJ World Music Top Ten charts for six weeks\, peaking at number six. Composer\, vocalist\, and multi-instrumentalist Narayan Sijan lived on the Silk Road from 1994-2006\, learning music from mystics\, masters\, and locals on a shoestring budget. He creates an innovative alchemy of music\, storytelling\, and beauty in his album collaborations with two-time Grammy nominee\, producer\, and programmer Carmen Rizzo.
