DESCRIPTION:Polish pianist Joanna Rozewska and Russian cellist Yulia Fomicheva\, two highly respected international competition winners and alumna of San Francisco Conservatory\, will present an evening of piano and cello music by Chopin\, Myaskovsky\, Rachmaninov\, and other great Polish and Russian composers. \nFeaturing:\nJoanna Rozewska – piano\nYulia Fomicheva – cello \nYulia Fomicheva is a cellist and cello teacher born in Moscow\, Russia. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from renowned institutions in Moscow and a professional studies diploma from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Fomicheva\, who has won numerous international music competitions\, has performed as a soloist and as a member of ensembles and orchestras in the U.S.\, Russia\, China\, England\, and Germany. She has been teaching privately and at different music institutions\, including the Musical-Pedagogical Institute in Moscow for more than 10 years. \nJoanna Różewska is a Polish pianist currently living in California\, who has won second prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Hartford\, Connecticut; second prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Mariánské Lázně (Czech Republic); and first prize at the COOP Music Awards – Prize Antonio Bertolini in Milan (Italy). As a solo pianist\, she performed in the U.S.\, China\, Switzerland\, Sweden\, France\, Italy\, Poland\, Ukraine\, and Kazakhstan. She holds a master’s degree from the F.
