DESCRIPTION:Los Angeles-based singer Douyé brings her trio to the Poppy to celebrate her first album of jazz standards\, Daddy Said So. After two well-received R&B releases\, the Nigerian-born vocalist goes back to her roots with an evening of classics inspired by legends such as Ella Fitzgerald\, Billie Holiday\, and Dinah Washington. \nFeaturing:\nTBA \nHer upbeat R&B track “Life Is Good” made it to #9 on the UK soul chart\, but Douyé\, born in Lagos\, Nigeria\, is right at home as a jazz singer.
