DESCRIPTION:Grammy-winning singer Alexa Morales joins Brian Andres and his Afro-Cuban Jazz Cartel for a night of original compositions and classic Latin jazz standards. \nFeaturing:\nTBA \nThe Afro-Cuban Jazz Cartel\, rooted firmly in a Bay Area Latin jazz tradition that includes artists from Cal Tjader to Armando Peraza and John Santos to Wayne Wallace\, was formed to contribute its own mark to that storied history. Led by Brian Andres and featuring Grammy Award-winning musicians\, as well as esteemed music educators\, the ACJC never fails to perform its music at the highest level. \nLearn more: Website \nSince 2004\, Oakland-based songwriter Alexa Weber Morales has made 12 studio recordings\, including three solo albums\, Jazzmérica\, Vagabundeo\, and I Wanna Work For You\, and a solo EP\, From Me To Yule. In 2010\, her vocals graced the Grammy-nominated Latin jazz album Bien! Bien!
