DESCRIPTION:Drawing inspiration from ’70s jazz\, funk\, and the rhythmic tug of post-Dilla hip-hop\, Daniel Riera presents new music for flute\, wind controller\, and electric ensemble. The multi-instrumentalist is well known for his impressive performances on the wind controller\, a digital woodwind delivering earth-shaking bass\, acidic melodies\, and even chords. \nFeaturing:\nDaniel Riera – flute\, wind controller\nKev Choice – keyboards\nDame Drummer – drums\nKai Lyons – guitar\nCamille Mai – vocals \nSan Francisco native Daniel Riera is a flutist\, bassist\, producer\, sound designer\, and teacher. A winner of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music\, Riera also has a strong background in Latin music. In addition to his own ensemble\, Daniel performs with groups such as Soltrón\, Blind Willies\, Marcus Cohen and the Congress\, and the Retromaniax.
