DESCRIPTION:The Red Poppy Art House is happy to present Todd Sickafoose’s Tiny Resistors. As Sickafoose’s collective band continues to evolve\, this evening’s incarnation emphasizes the folk sounds underlying their jazz meets post-rock style by focusing on acoustic instruments.\n\n \nBassist/composer Todd Sickafoose makes music that is richly moving and imaginative\, often played by long-time collaborators who share his breadth of vision and musical muscle. Along with Jenny Scheinman on violin\, Rob Reich on accordion\, Ben Goldberg on clarinet\, and Allison Miller on drums\, this group of musicians has performed with artists as diverse as Tin Hat\, David Byrne\, Andrew Bird\, Dr. Lonnie Smith\, and Bill Frisell. \n\n\nFeaturing: \nBen Goldberg ‒ clarinet\n Jenny Scheinman ‒ violin\n Rob Reich ‒ accordion\n Allison Miller ‒ drums\n Todd Sickafoose ‒ bass \nStay connected with Todd Sickafoose on Facebook and Twitter. \nAdmission: $15-20.
