DESCRIPTION:In celebration of the 37th Annual Carnaval San Francisco\, the Red Poppy Art House presents a weekend of performances highlighting music from Ivory Coast and the African Diaspora\, featuring La Mixta Criolla on Friday\, May 22nd. \nLa Mixta Criolla is a versatile and hard-swinging Bay Area quintet with deep roots in the creole mix of Latin-Caribbean music. This ensemble returns to the Red Poppy to perform two high-energy dance sets inspired in the Carnaval traditions of the Caribbean.
