SUMMARY:The Chamber Music Society of San Francisco with Diana Gameros: Honoring Our Mothers: Music by Women Composers
DESCRIPTION:Founded in the spring of 2013\, the Chamber Music Society of San Francisco (CMSSF) was born out of a collective desire to perform the great chamber music repertoire. Dedicated to bringing these masterworks to diverse audiences\, CMSSF is passionate about concertizing in intimate settings\, creating close connections between performers and listeners\, and cultivating a relationship between music and audiences that extends far beyond the perimeter of the concert hall. \nCMSSF brings together Bay Area musicians of diverse musical experience. They can be heard performing with the San Francisco Symphony\, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra\, Santa Rosa Symphony\, Magik*Magik Orchestra\, as well as many other chamber ensembles\, including early music\, jazz\, tango\, and pop. \nFor this special evening\, CMSSF is joined by singer/songwriter Diana Gameros. Gameros is a Latin singer/songwriter who performs songs of love\, longing\, and hope. Originally from Ciudad Juarez\, Mexico and now living in San Francisco\, Gameros creates authentic\, inspiring music that reflects the 21st century experiences of a young indie artist at the borderlands between cultures\, languages\, and genres. Whether teasing every ounce of expression from her acoustic guitar in an intimate cafe or bringing people to their feet in a club with her dynamic full band\, Gameros transfixes listeners with her soaring vocals\, impressive playing and captivating stage presence. \nJory Fankuchen – violin\nNatasha Makhijani – violin\nClio Tilton – viola\nSamsun Van Loon – cello\nDiana Gameros – vocals and guitar \nLearn more about CMSSF here. \nGet a sneak peak at Diana’s sounds here. \nAdmission: $15-25.
